INDUSTRIAL RESIN FLOORING INSTALLATION

> Vacuum Enclosed Shotblasting
The quickest and most economical method of concrete preparation is by fully enclosed, dust-free shotblasting. This method is the most recommended type of floor preparation. It is the industry standard for floor preparation by all major resin manufactures for the removal of old floor coatings and to thoroughly prepare new and old concrete floors, helping to achieve a long lasting finish.
> Diamond Grinding
Vacuum assisted diamond grinding is used for the preparation of concrete surfaces prior to coating and to level off uneven concrete surfaces. The diamond grinders can be used in their own right to smooth out irregularities or for toning down the ridges caused by scabbling.
> Hot Compressed Air
Hot Compressed Air or ‘HCA’ is the only proven long term solution to clean oil contaminated concrete floors. This process burns away surface oil and draws up residual oil from within the concrete. Immediately after this has been carried out, we then apply a low viscosity solvent free epoxy resin primer to the concrete floor. As the concrete cools down the epoxy is drawn into the concrete while helping it cure quicker so sealing the concrete floor. After this has been carried out, any type of epoxy or polyurethane resin system can be applied to the floor.

> Scabbling or Planing
Scabblers or Planers using Tungsten Carbide Tipped flails or picks can give a coarser profile suitable for epoxy screeds and pumped screeds, by giving a much coarser texture and better mechanical key.
